This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Lead impactful drug discovery initiatives from target validation to candidate selection.
• Transform state-of-the-art scientific advancements into clinical-ready compounds.
• Demonstrate a proven history of successfully progressing compounds into clinical development.
• Combine extensive scientific knowledge with strategic foresight and decisive leadership.
• Collaborate across various fields including Oncology, Inflammation, Neuroscience, Metabolism, and Infectious Diseases.
• Play a crucial role in propelling a diverse and expanding portfolio of client-focused programs.
• Build and oversee dynamic, cross-functional project teams.
• Integrate Eurofins Discovery scientists with our client collaborators.
• Design, plan, and implement comprehensive discovery strategies that yield significant results for clients and ultimately benefit patients.
• Proficient user of online project and data management tools (e.g., SharePoint).
• Background in Medicinal Chemistry, Biology, or DMPK.
• Extensive drug discovery experience spanning over 10 years in the industry, covering various therapeutic areas and project phases across multiple target classes and gene families.
• Proven track record of leading teams and delivering numerous clinical candidates.
• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) or equivalent in biological sciences or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in drug discovery project leadership within the industry.
• Expertise in therapeutic areas such as oncology, CNS, metabolism, and immuno-oncology.
• Strong skills in project planning, leadership, negotiation, and communication, with the capacity to provide creative and practical solutions to challenges.
• Excellent organizational skills, communication (both oral and written), and attention to detail, committed to delivering quality outcomes on time.
• Passionate about drug discovery and capable of inspiring teamwork and motivating staff to achieve project goals; a collaborative team player.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive outlook.
• Must reside in CST or EST time zones, as this position will involve close collaboration with team members in the EU.
• Capability to acquire new techniques, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain accurate records, and adhere to company policies.
• Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, PowerPoint, project management software, Microsoft Project, and the use of AI tools.
