This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Drive new business development by generating leads, cultivating relationships, and prospecting within a substantial market that has potential for increased market share.
• Assist in complex sales by aligning customer requirements with customized solutions.
• Oversee key accounts, focusing on mid-sized and large clients, with opportunities to enhance wallet share and product utilization among existing customers.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor products, and industry advancements.
• Acquire a deep understanding of the products or services offered to effectively address customer inquiries and demonstrate value.
• Manage and grow an existing account base while increasing sales of other value-added manufactured products within the company's offerings, including (Add product line) market.
• Engage in problem-solving and a value-added selling approach with an emphasis on winning and retaining customers along with repeat business.
• Monitor all sales activities, producing reports and analyzing sales data.
• Negotiate and finalize sales contracts and agreements to meet sales objectives.
• Maintain a strong customer focus on reducing total costs, enhancing production quality, and achieving Health, Safety, and Environmental goals and targets.
• Clearly communicate customer needs and requirements to all relevant departments within the company to ensure coordinated efforts that foster rapid organic sales growth.
• Successfully achieve individual and team sales objectives.
• Collaborate with the Research & Development (R&D) technical team to identify selling opportunities and manage accounts.
• Travel to current and potential customers to cultivate relationships and drive sales.
• Over 5 years of sales experience in paper manufacturing and/or chemicals.
• Proven success in identifying leads, prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering compelling presentations.
• Demonstrated capability to build and sustain long-term customer relationships while enhancing the value proposition of existing products.
• High achievement orientation; motivated to perform and grow.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong skills in consultation, negotiation, problem resolution, and interpersonal communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Demonstrated skills in sales and territory management.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.
• Capability to conduct technical/mechanical on-site testing.
