District Manager – Interventional Glaucoma, Eye Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• This position is based in the field and will necessitate travel across the Atlantic Coast District Territory.

• Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, Richmond, VA, Washington DC, or Baltimore, MD.

• The District Manager, Eye Care Surgical (Xen) is tasked with leading a team to promote AbbVie’s Xen Gel stent in the refractory glaucoma market.

• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of managing the district’s sales performance, including interviewing, selecting, and developing Account Consultants.

• Manage the district’s customer-facing activities while adhering to compliance principles to ensure the overall success of the US Interventional Glaucoma franchise.

• Achieve district objectives and support both short- and long-term strategies for the franchise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• An MBA is preferred.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Healthcare, buy and bill, or device sectors is required.

• Strong business analysis and planning skills that enhance sales performance.

• Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate and influence without formal authority across organizations.

• Proficient in articulating the scientific components of treatments and therapeutic areas.

• Proven track record of providing honest, effective feedback and efficiently managing performance.

• Capability to develop talent for promotional advancement.

• A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.

• Willingness to travel a minimum of 75% to adequately cover the territory, including overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
