This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Responsible for leading a team to promote AbbVie’s Xen Gel stent within the refractory glaucoma market.
• Oversee all facets of managing the district’s sales performance while supervising the interviewing, selection, and development of Account Consultants on their team.
• Manage the district’s customer-facing initiatives to cultivate and sustain relationships while strictly adhering to compliance principles.
• Provide support for both short- and long-term franchise strategies, tactical execution, promotional initiatives, and the achievement of regional and business unit objectives.
• Consistently achieve growth and market share targets while managing area operations within budgetary constraints.
• Offer leadership and guidance to all colleagues.
• Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, development, and performance management within the assigned district.
• Engage in coaching and counseling to foster innovative selling and account management skills.
• Direct sales initiatives across the region.
• Demonstrate the capability to implement marketing plans effectively.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• MBA is preferred.
• Experience in sales and sales leadership.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Healthcare, buy and bill, or device sectors is required.
• Strong business analysis and planning skills that enhance sales performance.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to collaborate and influence without formal authority across organizations.
• Proficient in articulating the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
• Proven capability to provide candid, effective feedback and manage performance efficiently.
• Skill in developing talent for promotional opportunities.
• Ability to foster a culture of success and full team engagement.

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 75% to adequately cover the territory, including overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• A critical requirement for this position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements to gain and maintain access to facilities.
