This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Coordinate commercial activities among in-field teams to ensure sales targets are met within a designated geographical area.
• Develop, implement, and communicate the District Sales Plan while tracking progress.
• Optimize market, segment, and team dynamics to enhance both top-line and bottom-line outcomes.
• Facilitate smooth collaboration in both daily operations and long-term business execution.
• Establish the tone and pace for business processes and organizational structure.
• Grasp and convey a market and franchise/business perspective when leading teams and advocating for in-field meetings by mastering product and disease state knowledge, as well as relevant market dynamics, including the Managed Care landscape.
• Coach, mentor, educate, and develop both direct and indirect team members to improve individual skills and elevate overall team performance.
• Hold direct reports accountable for their actions and expected behaviors.
• Provide guidance and insights to key internal partners during the business planning process.
• Consistently embody the AbbVie Ways of Working.
• A Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Possess business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
• Demonstrated leadership as a District Manager, including compliance with safety and other standards.
• Minimum of four years of experience in pharmaceutical sales management (external management experience may be considered).
• Currently meeting performance expectations.

• Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Capable of articulating the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
• Proven track record of delivering candid and effective feedback while efficiently managing performance.

• Capable of fostering a culture of success and full team engagement.
• Works collaboratively and can influence without authority across different organizations.
• An essential requirement of this position is to meet all applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain access to facilities and organizations within your assigned territory.
• Must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
