This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the primary technical advisor to the CTO/CIO and the executive leadership team regarding all aspects of data strategy, integration architecture, and enterprise data platforms.
• Create and take ownership of the organization-wide data and integration architecture vision, ensuring it aligns with the overall business strategy, product roadmap, and growth goals of the company.
• Lead technology strategy decisions that go beyond the data ecosystem, impacting platform direction, build-versus-buy choices, and technology investment priorities on an enterprise scale.
• Communicate architectural vision, risk evaluations, and recommendations for technology investments to executive leadership and, when appropriate, to the board of directors.
• Manage and enhance the enterprise integration architecture that encompasses ERP, CRM, HR, and SaaS systems, defining the strategic approach for the interconnection of the company’s systems ecosystem.
• Establish enterprise-wide integration standards, patterns, and principles (including batch, near-real-time, and event-driven) for other architects and engineering teams to follow.
• Specify non-functional standards for error handling, logging, monitoring, retry logic, and performance that will become the defaults across the organization.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in data architecture, integration architecture, or platform architecture, with a minimum of 5 years at a principal, distinguished, or equivalent senior architecture level.
• Proven history of establishing an enterprise-wide architectural vision and strategy that has directly affected business results.
• Extensive expertise in designing enterprise integrations using iPaaS or middleware platforms (such as Boomi or similar) across batch, near-real-time, and event-driven patterns.
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary data warehousing/lakehouse architectures and Microsoft data platforms (including Fabric, Synapse, SQL, Power BI, or similar).
• Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks and metadata management tools (like Purview or similar).
• Advanced SQL capabilities and a working knowledge of at least one scripting/programming language (Python is preferred).
• Familiarity with APIs, REST, JSON, and data transformation pipelines.
• A track record of influencing executive-level technology decisions and presenting findings to senior leadership.
