This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Facilitate communication with WM drivers to resolve issues while they are on route for residential, commercial, and roll-off business lines.
• Manage incoming service orders, guide drivers, and address service-related problems.
• Collaborate with WM customer service, sales, and operational teams, including Route Managers and Mechanics.
• Utilize WM proprietary software to oversee same-day ticket routing and prepare routes for the following day.
• Assign drivers to calls based on customer requirements, driver locations, loads, and daily considerations balancing cost and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with sites and the service department to enhance route efficiency.
• Assess daily driver staffing levels to achieve a balance between responsiveness and productivity.
• Allocate routes and service tickets to suitable drivers throughout the day and for the next day.
• Monitor route activities and ensure successful route completion.
• Respond to incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales departments.
• Manage pickup or delivery requests for container movements within the designated market area.
• Engage with customers while drivers are on-site to address pickup and other service matters.
• Identify and resolve delivery and pickup challenges before they escalate into service issues.
• Guarantee same-day service for missed pickups by managing routing and tracking driver movements in the field.
• Occasional travel up to 15% may be necessary to engage face-to-face with sites.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Franklin, TN.
• Experience in dispatch, routing, or logistics is preferred.
• Strong communication abilities are essential.
• Proficiency in computer usage is required.
• A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is necessary.
• At least 6 months of relevant work experience in a team-oriented environment.
• Effective communication skills across various departments are vital.
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced work setting is important.
• Excellent organizational skills are required.
• Availability to work Monday-Friday during operational hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. is necessary.
• Potential availability for overtime and Saturday hours may be needed based on dispatch center needs in the market area.
• Travel up to 15% may be required.
• Must possess or be willing to acquire a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if mandated for air travel or federal property access.
