Dispatcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assign drivers to calls based on customer requirements, driver locations, loads, and daily considerations.

• Collaborate with sites and the service department to enhance route efficiency.

• Establish daily driver staffing levels to ensure a balance between responsiveness and productivity.

• Allocate routes and service tickets to drivers for the current day and the following day.

• Oversee route actions and ensure that all routes are completed.

• Respond to incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales teams.

• Manage requests for pickups and deliveries of containers within the designated market area.

• Engage with customers while drivers are on-site to resolve any service-related issues.

• Identify and rectify problems related to deliveries and pickups.

• Guarantee same-day service for missed pickups by managing routing and tracking driver movements.

• Coordinate with WM drivers to facilitate in-route problem solving.

• Utilize WM proprietary software for same-day ticket routing and next-day route planning.

• Collaborate with customer service, sales, Route Managers, mechanics, and other operational personnel.

• Up to 15% travel may be necessary to interact directly with responsible site dispatchers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside within the Florida market area, specifically within 50 miles of a WM site.

• Experience in dispatching, routing, or route optimization is required.

• A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory.

• At least 6 months of relevant work experience in a team environment.

• Ability to communicate effectively across various departments.

• Capability to multitask in a high-paced work setting.

• Exceptional organizational skills are essential.

• Strong communication and computer skills are preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

• Must have flexibility during operational hours.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, starting at 10:00 a.m. and concluding at 6:30 p.m. CST.

• Shifts may include overtime and Saturday hours based on market-area demands.

• Must possess or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if necessary for air travel or access to federal properties.
