This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Identify and address account-level challenges with clients to provide compliant solutions that support patient care.
• Create and implement business plans at the Health Care Provider and account levels.
• Educate Health Care Providers and practice teams regarding access, reimbursement tools, and non-clinical barriers to care.
• Facilitate prompt treatment initiation and continuity of care by understanding patient flow, drug procurement, and practice dynamics.
• Collaborate with field-based and home-office colleagues and share insights on market access.
• Utilize knowledge of ultra-rare diseases, competitors, and industry trends to discover opportunities and tackle challenges.
• Analyze territory data and market trends to guide strategy and lead both virtual and in-person Health Care Provider engagements.
• Lead cross-functional planning efforts to address complex challenges faced by Health Care Providers.
• Coordinate Novartis resources across Medical, Access, and Patient Support teams by leveraging omnichannel capabilities.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured sectors with large, geographically dispersed sales teams within the past five years.
• A demonstrated history of achieving consistent high performance.
• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers.
• Strong analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and utilize relevant information to resolve customer issues.
• Ethical leadership skills and the capability to promote compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Residency within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance of up to 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geography and to drive or fly within the territory.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• For associate level: limited prior sales experience accepted; alternatively, applicants recently separated from U.S. military service with 4+ years of leadership experience.
• For territory level: a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant specialty industry or a similarly complex sales role within the last five years.
• For senior level: at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant specialty industry or a similarly complex sales role within the last five years.
• For executive level: a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a relevant specialty industry or a similarly complex sales role within the last five years.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions in a matrix environment and communicate clinical product information effectively.
• Desirable: experience with ultra-rare or specialty disease states and complex access/reimbursement pathways.
