This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Engage deeply with NIQ Discover to analyze, explore, and interpret retail and consumer data.
• Convert business needs into actionable data discovery and analytical strategies.
• Create and run data queries, reports, dashboards, and analytical views within NIQ Discover.
• Examine sales, market share, category, brand, product, and consumer data to uncover trends and opportunities.
• Conduct data discovery to reveal patterns, anomalies, growth prospects, and business drivers.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to grasp analytical requirements and provide insights.
• Ensure data output validation and maintain analysis accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Assist with both recurring and ad-hoc analytical requests utilizing NIQ Discover and associated datasets.
• Develop presentations and reports that effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
• Enhance data utilization, analytical processes, and reporting methodologies alongside internal teams.
• Investigate and resolve data and reporting issues, addressing discrepancies as they arise.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for analytical processes, reports, queries, and data definitions.
• Keep abreast of NIQ data products, methodologies, and best practices in market and consumer analytics.
• 4–6 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, market research, or a comparable field.
• Significant hands-on experience with NIQ Discover.
• Deep understanding of data discovery and exploration methodologies.
• Capability to analyze and interpret extensive and complex datasets.
• Knowledge of retail, consumer, FMCG, market measurement, or category analytics.
• Proven experience in transforming business inquiries into data-driven analytical outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to discern trends, patterns, and actionable insights from data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and data validation expertise.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with NielsenIQ datasets, products, or analytical solutions.
• Proficient in SQL and data querying techniques.
• Experience with BI and visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Background in FMCG, CPG, retail, sales, category management, or consumer insights.
• Awareness of data quality, reporting automation, and analytical workflows.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing analytical settings.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
