Director, Total Productive Maintenance – TPM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategy, governance, and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives throughout a GMP-compliant life sciences manufacturing network.

• Ensure that equipment, utilities, and facilities function at optimal reliability to support seamless production.

• Create and manage standardized frameworks for preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance.

• Foster a culture of operational excellence, adherence to compliance, and ongoing improvement.

• Maintain executive responsibility for ensuring maintenance compliance with cGMP, GxP, EHS, and international regulatory standards.

• Lead the enterprise CMMS/EAM and digital maintenance strategy.

• Develop and guide maintenance leadership teams while collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and vendors/OEMs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial) or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or operations within a GMP life sciences setting (biotech, pharmaceutical, medical devices).

• More than 5 years of leadership experience in overseeing multi-site or large-scale maintenance programs.

• Extensive knowledge of TPM methodologies, reliability engineering, and CMMS/EAM systems.

• Proven track record of enhancing equipment reliability and minimizing downtime in regulated manufacturing environments.
