Director, Software Engineering – Partner Platform

📋 Description

• Lead the engineering aspects of the Partner Experience organization

• Oversee team well-being, technical strategy, and delivery pace across both teams

• Facilitate alignment from discovery through to delivery

• Advocate for AI-native engineering as a foundational operating model

• Familiarize yourself with Niche and engage with various team members

• Evaluate the organization's engineering health and technical priorities

• Manage the engineering roadmap and create a robust operating rhythm with product leads

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 3+ years in a managerial role overseeing engineering managers

• Proven, hands-on experience in guiding a team’s shift to AI-assisted or agentic engineering workflows — developing the culture, tools, and measurement systems, rather than just individual AI use

• A history of delivering high-quality products at scale within a dynamic, cross-functional setting

• Excellent communication skills — capable of representing engineering credibly to product and GTM partners and seamlessly translating between technical and business terminologies

• Experience collaborating with embedded data engineers and significant exposure to modern data tools (dbt, Snowflake, or similar)

• A systematic thinker who brings clarity to ambiguous challenges without excessive processing

• Nice to Have: Background in EdTech, marketplace, or consumer platform sectors
