This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and enhance Starface’s social media and platform strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
• Lead the social content calendar, ensuring each piece of content aligns with a clear strategic purpose.
• Craft thoughtful and actionable creative briefs that propel ideas forward, fostering stronger creative output.
• Collaborate closely with the creative team, including the Director of Social Content, to ensure that strategy complements creativity rather than limits it.
• Develop and continuously update platform-specific playbooks, KPIs, benchmarks, and reporting frameworks.
• Track social performance and convert insights into actionable recommendations and next steps.
• Maintain and grow Starface’s presence on TikTok and Instagram while identifying and establishing a meaningful presence on new and emerging platforms.
• Strengthen the feedback loop between organic and paid social efforts, ensuring consistent sharing of learnings across teams.
• Regularly collaborate with paid media partners to align on content requirements, testing opportunities, and performance insights.
• Oversee external agency partners to guarantee high-quality strategic output and execution.
• Analyze content performance and translate insights into actionable recommendations that enhance creative and business outcomes.
• Stay well-informed about platform changes, internet culture, creators, and competitive activity, highlighting what truly deserves attention.
• Lead, mentor, and support two direct reports while enhancing the overall social function.
• You have over 6 years of experience in leading social strategy and managing owned channels for a consumer brand, preferably in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or CPG sectors.
• You have worked at a brand recognized for its strong social storytelling and cultural relevance, not just for its large media budgets.
• You possess native knowledge of TikTok and Instagram and understand how platform behaviors evolve in real time.
• You have experience building social strategies and reporting frameworks from the ground up.
• You bring hands-on experience in aligning organic and paid social teams in impactful ways.
• You know how to write briefs that creatives genuinely want to use.
• You are equally adept at strategic thinking and diving into executional details.
• You have managed agencies and know how to elicit the best work from external partners.
• You can confidently collaborate with creative leadership while respecting the nuances of creative ownership.
• You are proactive, curious, collaborative, and genuinely excited about the future of social culture.
