
Director, Sales Compensation Design – Administration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provides leadership, guidance, and consultation regarding sales compensation plans, measurement, and payment processes.
• Owns the strategy, design, and administration of the company's sales incentive programs.
• Maintains a comprehensive and ongoing understanding of the company's go-to-market strategy, sales organizational structure, and the execution of roles and teams.
• Oversees the complete design, mechanics, and eligibility of the Sales Compensation Plan(s).
• Leads the annual plan design and refresh cycle, collaborating closely with Sales Operations, Sales leadership, Finance, and Legal departments.
• Manages the administration of the plan from start to finish.
• Establishes governance, documentation, and auditing practices to ensure ongoing plan integrity.
• Manages the relationship with the incentive compensation management (ICM) platform.
• Directs implementation, enhancement, and optimization initiatives for compensation systems.
• Builds, leads, and develops a team responsible for the design and administration of sales compensation.
• Provides regular reporting and insights to leadership in Total Rewards and Sales Operations.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in sales compensation, total rewards, or related HR/Finance fields.
• A proven history of owning sales compensation plan design, administration, and governance at scale.
• Practical experience with incentive compensation management (ICM) platforms (e.g., Xactly, Varicent, CaptivateIQ, or similar).
• Demonstrated experience in people leadership, with a track record of building and nurturing high-performing teams.
• Strong capabilities in organizational design and talent evaluation.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management.
• Experience in translating complex, technical, or ambiguous topics into clear narratives for executives.
• Exposure to AI tools, platforms, or governance frameworks in an enterprise context is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree is required; relevant certifications are preferred.
