This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the entire collections process: create, sustain, and be accountable for accurate collections forecasts, ensuring senior leadership has clear insight into cash flow.
• Construct and implement a disciplined collections framework from scratch. This encompasses (but is not limited to) standardizing recovery rhythms, eliminating points of revenue leakage, and establishing a "zero-loss" mindset to achieve and uphold industry-leading net collection rates.
• Recognize bottlenecks and design/implement workflows that significantly decrease denials and shorten the accounts receivable lifecycle.
• Form strategic partnerships with growth teams during contract negotiations to set clients up for success.
• Act as the ultimate "closer" for intricate billing disputes, collaborating directly with health plan partners to address systemic payment challenges and negotiate favorable resolutions.
• Serve as the main point of escalation for clients, translating complex billing obstacles into clear, actionable updates, fostering trust through unwavering transparency and results.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure billing strategies are perfectly aligned with company growth.
• Drive the team's key performance indicators. You will monitor recovery rates and payer behavior, utilizing data to adapt strategies in real-time.
• Lead the team responsible for managing the full customer billing processes and the associated communications, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and health plans.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in revenue cycle management, including 2-3 years in a management role.
• Outstanding negotiation and conflict-resolution capabilities; experience collaborating closely with health plan partners to resolve payment challenges effectively.
• Extensive knowledge of CMS regulations and commercial payer behaviors.
• Experience with various EMR and RCM software, as well as a variety of health plan portals; experience with system migrations is a plus.
• Documented success throughout your career and a proven desire to improve systems and processes for enhanced claims collections and data visibility.
