Director, Revenue Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage all facets of revenue accounting, which includes month-end closing, analysis and reporting, considerations for controls, and technical accounting in accordance with ASC 606.

• Supervise the review of contracts to assess revenue recognition implications.

• Lead and guide a team of two revenue accountants, offering coaching and fostering professional growth.

• Collaborate with Strategic Finance, Legal, Commercial, and Operations to ensure precise forecasting, reporting, and compliance.

• Promote ongoing enhancements in processes, systems, and controls to facilitate scalability and operational excellence.

• Assist with external audits and reviews.

• Support the Accounting team as required with various ad hoc tasks and projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA certification with a robust understanding of ASC 606.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in both public accounting and industry, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to revenue accounting.

• Experience working in a dynamic, public company setting.

• At least 3 years in a leadership position, managing teams and nurturing talent.

• Proven ability to design and implement scalable processes and controls.

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to collaborate across functions.

• Comfortable operating in a fully remote environment.
