This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the cross-functional strategy for AI/ML-enabled research capabilities that enhance product and pricing innovation across various business lines.
• Assemble and manage a dedicated team that focuses on reusable research tools, modernizing workflows, automating model monitoring, and developing AI-enabled capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product R&D leaders to uncover opportunities for enhancing research speed, depth, consistency, and scalability.
• Investigate and implement product research initiatives.
• Work in conjunction with MTS, EDS, and other collaborators on data pipelines, feature workflows, model monitoring, and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Create processes and guidelines to ensure human oversight, model quality, explainability, and responsible utilization of AI-generated outputs.
• Develop automated and observable research workflows encompassing hypothesis generation, model evaluation, monitoring, and documentation.
• Facilitate adoption and change management across various teams.
• Convert relevant advancements in AI, machine learning, and research methodologies into practical applications.
• Mentor and cultivate talent in a hybrid environment where individuals, automation, and AI agents collaborate effectively.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as data science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, advanced analytics, or similar quantitative roles.
• At least 3 years of experience in analytics within the insurance or financial services sectors.
• More than 5 years of leadership experience or equivalent background in managing complex cross-functional programs.
• Acceptable equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Strong practical proficiency in Python and contemporary ML frameworks.
• Proven experience with GenAI/LLM applications.
• Skills or experience in AI Harness / LLM evaluation.
• A successful history of building or operationalizing analytical tools, models, or workflows utilized by others at scale.
• Strong business and technical acumen linking research capability investments to product, pricing, and operational results.
• Ability to lead through influence and navigate ambiguity comfortably.
• Demonstrated curiosity and rapid learning capabilities.
• Preferred: a master’s or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field.
• Preferred: over 10 years of experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, advanced analytics, or related quantitative work.
• Preferred: at least 3 years of experience in software or application development.
• Preferred: over 5 years of experience in analytics within P&C insurance.
• Preferred: more than 8 years of people leadership experience or comparable experience managing complex cross-functional programs.
