This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement the enterprise Quality Engineering roadmap, prioritizing automation-first testing methodologies across UI, API, integration, performance, and end-to-end workflows.
• Promote shift-left quality practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and collaborate with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Operations leaders to enhance platform reliability, delivery predictability, and customer satisfaction.
• Spearhead the integration of AI-assisted quality engineering practices, including AI-driven methods for test generation, defect detection, regression optimization, and release validation.
• Assess and deploy AI-powered quality engineering platforms and autonomous workflows, while establishing governance and best practices for AI-enhanced software delivery utilizing tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
• Formulate testing strategies for platform modernization projects, encompassing legacy enterprise platforms, cloud-native services, APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and EDI integrations.
• Create and scale enterprise automation frameworks, establishing and overseeing Playwright-based automation standards integrated into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
• Execute performance, scalability, resiliency, and reliability testing practices alongside observability-driven quality validation, synthetic monitoring, and production testing strategies.
• Define and oversee quality KPIs, including defect escape rate, automation coverage, deployment success rate, release readiness, MTTD, MTTR, and platform availability metrics.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of Quality Engineering managers, automation engineers, QA engineers, and quality analysts.
• Foster organizational alignment on quality standards and engineering best practices across globally distributed engineering teams.
• 12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in leading Quality Engineering teams and people leaders.
• Demonstrated experience in defining and scaling quality strategies for complex enterprise software platforms.
• In-depth expertise in enterprise test automation strategy and implementation, including the development and scaling of Playwright-based frameworks.
• Significant experience in testing API-first, integration-heavy, and data-driven applications, with practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
• Experience in supporting platform modernization efforts and leading the transition from manual testing to automation-first engineering practices.
• Proficiency with SQL Server, database testing, data validation, and Microsoft-based enterprise platforms, including .NET applications, APIs, integration services, and cloud-native solutions.
• Familiarity with shift-left testing, BDD frameworks (Gherkin, SpecFlow), observability-driven quality engineering, and engineering metrics and quality analytics.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
