Director – Project Delivery, Ophthalmology

📋 Description

• Establish and expand TFS's ophthalmology clinical operations footprint throughout LATAM.

• Oversee Phase I–III clinical trials from start to finish.

• Develop regional infrastructure, governance models, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance frameworks.

• Act as a hands-on player-coach in various domains.

• Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of local clinical operations teams.

• Cultivate and enhance relationships with key stakeholders across LATAM.

• Serve as the main regional escalation point for sponsors and internal leadership.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

• 8–12 years of progressive clinical research experience in a CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical setting.

• Strong familiarity with clinical operations, regulatory strategies, and site-related functions; experience in ophthalmology is highly preferred.

• Proven track record in leading cross-functional and cross-regional teams within global clinical research environments.

• Demonstrated ability to establish standardized processes, KPIs, and governance frameworks.

• Proficient in CTMS platforms and operational tracking systems.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus.

• Willingness and capability to travel throughout LATAM and internationally.
