This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess current engagements and platforms—such as public health interoperability implementations, state workforce management tools, and Medicaid integration advisory projects—to pinpoint candidates for productization, create business cases to support investment decisions, and oversee the ongoing management, roadmap, and market performance of launched offerings.
• Spearhead the product innovation lifecycle from start to finish: identifying opportunity patterns across client engagements through validation, concept definition, business case development, productization, go-to-market preparedness, and continuous offering management.
• Conduct or coordinate market research, competitive analysis, and client discovery to confirm the viability of identified opportunities for pursuit.
• Define offering concepts, including value propositions, target buyers, differentiation, success criteria, and positioning.
• Create business cases for executive investment decisions, collaborating with Finance to validate cost assumptions and financial projections.
• Guide productization initiatives as the internal client, ensuring that delivery teams translate approved concepts into solutions that can be consistently scoped and delivered for new clients.
• Align go-to-market readiness with Growth, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and internal enablement.
• Track active offering performance—adoption, delivery economics, client satisfaction, and pipeline—and provide recommendations on ongoing investment, evolution, or retirement.
• Identify and advocate for cross-cutting offering opportunities that leverage Altarum’s integrated research, policy, technology, and communications capabilities.
• Establish and maintain a streamlined product-management rhythm: portfolio reviews, pipeline alignment, and feedback loops with delivery and Growth teams.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in product management, offering development, practice leadership, solution packaging, or a related field—in professional services, government contracting, health technology, or health-sector consulting.
• Proven experience in building or scaling an offering management or product function—not merely operating within an existing framework.
• A history of influencing senior leaders and delivery teams to embrace new operational methods, including the packaging and pricing of repeatable services or products.
• Experience in developing business cases, financial models, or investment proposals for new products or service offerings.
• Capability to convert technical capabilities and subject-matter expertise into market-facing value propositions that resonate with buyers.
• Comfort in operating across organizational boundaries and influencing without direct authority.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executive leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
