This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Recruit, train, guide, and retain a high-performing team of product designers and design managers to realize our overarching product vision and strategy, ensuring a measurable impact on our business.

• Take ownership of the comprehensive design of back office workflows encompassing AP, AR, purchasing, inventory, project financials, and month-end close — creating them as an integrated system rather than just a series of features.

• Navigate through complexities: back office users — field operators, office managers, controllers — face high stakes with little tolerance for friction.

• Assist the team in gaining a deep understanding of their target users.

• Collaborate with peer teams to enhance our product development processes, ensuring projects are well-defined, impactful, and executed successfully.

• Establish appropriate standards and lean processes to maintain the right balance between quality, capabilities, and time, while consistently upholding a high standard for design and overall user experience.

• Contribute to product strategy and roadmaps that align with our company vision and objectives.

• Actively mentor designers and design managers, helping them build context, decision-making skills, and empathy for our users by providing constructive feedback to strengthen the team.

• Foster a user-centric culture within the team and across the organization.

• Significantly influence the Product roadmap and maintain a relentless focus on supporting cross-functional teams in solving real user problems, ensuring prioritization of User-Centered Design projects.

• Oversee team performance and health, resource allocation, project prioritization, team distribution, trade-off discussions, and cultivate a culture of design excellence.

• Gain deep insights into users across different segments through research and user feedback, leading product design to achieve measurable outcomes.

• Promote accessibility in products through inclusive design, awareness, and innovation. Report directly to the VP of Experience Design and ambitiously scale a design team to align with the platform's needs and strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in a SaaS or enterprise environment, or a comparable setting, preferably on a platform.

• Proven experience in building a team of 10 or more.

• Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Claude, Cursor, or similar) and a desire to continuously evolve your practice as the tools do.

• Experience designing for agentic or AI-driven experiences, especially in situations where users must review, approve, or override system-generated outputs.

• A strong passion for enhancing User Experiences at scale while aligning with business objectives, along with the ability to measure improvements using both quantitative and qualitative methods.

• A demonstrated history of resolving challenging UX design problems and simplifying complex workflows to create intuitive and delightful interfaces for customers.

• A strong leader and mentor, committed to helping your team achieve their full potential, delivering constructive feedback to product designers, and promoting a culture of healthy design processes throughout the entire organization.

• Exceptional prioritization and organizational skills, excited by the prospect of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously and ruthlessly prioritizing the work that has the greatest impact.

• Outstanding communication skills combined with strong analytical, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities, with a knack for collaborating effectively across various organizational levels.

• Capacity to lead significant cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment, constructing project plans and roadmaps, securing and directing resources, and identifying and eliminating obstacles.

🏝️ Benefits

• Flexible time off with numerous learning and development opportunities to further advance your career.

• Comprehensive onboarding program, leadership training for all levels, and various programs and events.

• Exceptional work is recognized through Bonusly, peer-nominated awards, and more.

• Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (with 100% employer-paid options and 90% coverage for dependents), FSA and HSA, 401k match, and telehealth options including memberships to One Medical.

• Parental leave and support, up to $20k in fertility services (i.e., IUI and IVF), surrogacy and adoption reimbursement, on-demand maternity support through Maven Maternity, free breast milk shipping through Maven Milk, pet insurance, legal advisory services, financial planning tools, and more.
