Director, Preconstruction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Oversee Pivot Energy’s preconstruction operations for a diverse array of distributed generation, community solar, commercial solar, and energy storage initiatives.

• Ensure strategic coherence, support commercial objectives, and manage preconstruction oversight.

• Build a high-performing preconstruction team, establish scalable operational standards, and promote consistency in processes.

• Guarantee alignment among Development, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Project Management, and Construction Management.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 7 years of experience in renewable energy preconstruction, estimating, commercial management, project delivery, construction management, project controls, EPC management, or other relevant infrastructure leadership roles.

• At least 3 years of experience in people leadership, managing multidisciplinary project teams or functional workstreams with responsibility for performance results.

• Proficiency in EPC contracting, procurement strategies, budgeting, estimating, Basis of Estimate documentation, schedule management, and project execution planning.

• Deep understanding of solar PV and/or BESS project delivery, including development-to-delivery transitions, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction readiness, and execution handover.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, commercial, analytical, financial, and decision-making abilities.

• Experience in supporting operational processes, governance frameworks, and scalable delivery standards, as well as reporting routines and cross-functional operational discipline.

• Strong analytical, commercial, and financial management skills.

• Capability to lead in dynamic, high-growth environments with competing priorities, incomplete information, and evolving business demands.
