This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and manage the operational framework of the Midi Health People team, including the people calendar, process documentation, and regular cadences that enable the function to grow.
• Develop and sustain the infrastructure that establishes accountability within the People team, ensuring that priorities are clear, progress is monitored, and consistent delivery is achieved.
• Oversee people policies, handbooks, and operational documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Take charge of Midi's workforce planning process by creating the data infrastructure and forward-looking organizational design capabilities that anticipate growth rather than merely respond to it.
• Build and enhance people analytics capabilities, ensuring data integrity, accurate reporting, and robust governance throughout people systems and the entire employee lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Finance on headcount planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Convert people data into actionable insights for the VP of People and senior leadership.
• Manage HR systems and tools, including HRIS, benefits administration, and the broader HR technology stack, in collaboration with Corporate IT and Product teams.
• Drive process optimization throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal transitions, and offboarding, through improved workflows and technology.
• Ensure data integrity and governance across all people systems and processes.
• Lead Midi's AI-driven people strategy by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing automation and AI within people workflows.
• Exemplify what an AI-native people function entails and serve as a strategic partner to the broader organization in building this capability.
• Continuously assess and introduce tools and methods that enable the People team to operate with enhanced speed, quality, and insight.
• Ensure compliance with multi-state employment laws, audits, and reporting obligations in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and other departments.
• Oversee people risk management processes to ensure the organization operates within legal and ethical standards across all markets.
• Collaborate closely with the People team, including People Partners, Total Rewards, and Talent, to ensure shared processes are well-designed, documented, and executed consistently.
• Act as a liaison across functions, fostering alignment between the People team's operational rhythm and the broader company planning cycles.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Business Operations, People Operations, or a related field, with a proven track record of building and scaling operational infrastructure in high-growth settings.
• Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to leverage data for insights and foresights.
• Proven capability in designing and implementing scalable processes and systems, rather than merely fixing current issues.
• Genuine passion for and experience with AI and automation applied to HR or operational workflows.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, skilled at simultaneously managing multiple workstreams without oversight.
• Excellent communicator and collaborator, capable of building trust and alignment across various functions and levels.
• Experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where navigating ambiguity is common, and structure must be constructed rather than inherited.
