This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +3 more states.
• Spearhead the formulation and dissemination of the Medtronic Enterprise strategy aimed at boosting revenue and market share across approximately 10 key strategic accounts.
• Collaborate with RVPs, field teams, and Operating Unit leadership to implement the strategy, promoting Medtronic's portfolio of products and solutions at selected strategic accounts by aligning with their areas of strategic focus and priorities.
• Identify opportunities to utilize Medtronic’s capabilities to assist customers in optimizing costs and outcomes, enhancing patient access, and improving operational efficiencies.
• Meet fiscal year AOP targets and consistently exceed revenue growth in targeted accounts beyond the national market growth average.
• Transition strategic customers from their current state to becoming trusted strategic partners; formalize this partnership through an agreement recognized across Medtronic and the account.
• Cultivate a robust Medtronic brand and build relationships at the Service Line Administrator and C-Suite levels within flagship hospitals and health systems.
• Motivate OU sales teams to leverage individual physician relationships within Strategic Accounts.
• Recognize key customer needs and collaborate with the Strategic Solutions Director(s) (SSD) to gather and coordinate the necessary resources for delivering and implementing programs that create unique value.
• Work closely with SSDs to initiate and oversee the execution of Neuroscience, Cardiovascular, and MedSurg solutions in strategic accounts, addressing customers’ long-term strategic goals while providing internal feedback on potential new solutions.
• Offer leadership and subject matter expertise to the Medtronic field regarding evolving healthcare dynamics and the needs of administrative customers.
• Actively disseminate best practices with the Strategic Alliances team.
• Partner with RVPs to mentor DMs and local sales teams on strategic account management and solution-based selling that deliver economic value.
• Execute a comprehensive account planning process to align local sales teams with specific account-level strategies, objectives, and timelines.
• Co-develop strategic or business plans that encompass Medtronic businesses, identifying relevant customer needs, prioritizing initiatives and company investments, and establishing a clear action plan for success.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 7+ years in managerial roles, OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and 7+ years in managerial roles.
• An MBA or master’s degree in marketing or communications is preferred.
• Strong strategic and business acumen skills are essential.
• Proficiency in understanding P&L and customer financial statements.
• Experience in reading, analyzing, and drafting strategic plans and proposals for customers.
• Proven track record as a leader in defining and developing business or markets.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence within a matrixed marketing environment and work effectively with sales teams, management, and customers.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, particularly in engaging with executives and C-Suite members.
• Proven capability to build and maintain strong, productive working relationships across various functions and with customer contacts.
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly evolving business and negotiation environment; ability to quickly adjust to changes and seize new business opportunities.
• Consistently a high performer in current and past roles.
• Strong negotiation skills are critical.
• Extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, its environment, and GPOs/IDNs.
• Proven ability to effectively navigate a complex sales process and engage with C-Suite executives.
