This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10 full-stack developers focusing on Node.js services and Salesforce customizations.
• Foster quantifiable enhancements in developer efficiency utilizing DORA metrics: lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, and MTTR.
• Streamline delivery timelines by breaking down epics into smaller, independently deliverable components and challenging inflated estimates with data-driven insights.
• Design comprehensive solutions that encompass Node.js microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and Salesforce (Apex, Lightning, integrations).
• Take ownership of solution performance concerning latency, throughput, scalability, and cost—set service level objectives (SLOs) and ensure team accountability.
• Implement estimation, sprint, and release processes; eliminate blockers; and maintain accountability without overburdening the team.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Infrastructure teams to synchronize roadmaps, capacities, and interdependencies.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage the performance of engineers; cultivate a culture of ownership and agility.
• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience leading development teams of 8 to 20 engineers.
• Extensive, up-to-date hands-on experience with **Node.js** (Express/Nest, asynchronous patterns, performance optimization, microservices).
• Familiarity with the **Salesforce** platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, REST/Platform Events, and integration patterns with Node.js.
• Demonstrated background as a **technical architect**: experience designing distributed systems, API contracts, data models, and performance-sensitive solutions in production environments.
• Proven history of **schedule compression**—documented cases where cycle times were significantly reduced or release dates were advanced without compromising quality.
• Strong skills in estimation and planning within Agile/Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
• Experience enhancing **solution performance** through profiling, caching, query optimization, horizontal scaling, and observability (APM, logs, traces).
• Experience with cloud-native delivery (preferably AWS), including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and contemporary DevOps methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills with stakeholders—capable of negotiating scope, time, and quality with executive leadership.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
• Flexible work hours and remote work options.
• Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
• A supportive and innovative work environment.
