• Oversee, lead, and expand the social media department, which includes strategists, content creators, and channel specialists.
• Establish the team's operational framework: workflows, content calendars, approval processes, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations, offering strategic coaching and career development assistance.
• Collaborate with the Director of Client Strategy to guarantee that social deliverables are aligned with client objectives and account strategies.
• Take ownership of the agency's organic social strategy across various platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
• Create platform-specific content frameworks tailored to each client's audience, industry, and brand voice.
• Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks for social performance throughout the client portfolio.
• Work with the paid media team to develop social content that supports paid campaigns and retargeting initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Creative team on visual content standards, campaign ideation, and brand-consistent execution.
• Assist in new client onboarding by laying down the foundations for social strategy and providing initial content direction.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in social media strategy and management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a team or department.
• Demonstrated experience managing social media for multiple client accounts simultaneously in an agency setting.
• Extensive platform knowledge across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest, including content formats, algorithms, and analytics tools.
• Experience in developing social strategies for regulated industries (healthcare, legal, financial services, home services) is highly advantageous.
• Strong content sensibility: capable of identifying what captures attention, fosters community, and drives action.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills — proficient at conveying strategy to clients and inspiring a creative team.
• Proficient in social media management platforms (Later, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar) and analytics tools.
• Comfortable with AI-assisted content tools and proactive in integrating them into workflows.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a remote, fast-paced team.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated experience.
