This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate with the Director of Policy and Advocacy to lead the strategic development of programs, projects, and events.
• Create engaging programs in partnership with stakeholders and IPHN staff to achieve desired outcomes.
• Work alongside the IPHN advisory board and staff to further IPHN’s strategic objectives.
• Oversee the development and enhancement of programmatic initiatives, projects, and workflows.
• Involve IPHN partners in the design and execution of programs.
• Formulate communication and partnership strategies while managing crucial partner relationships.
• Engage with national and global faith leaders, food systems stakeholders, and organizations.
• Build relationships with leaders in higher education, congregations, organizations, scholars, funders, and programmatic partners.
• Ensure representation of faith communities most affected by issues in the policy discussions that IPHN advocates for.
• Participate on committees related to faith and public health.
• Serve as a consulting liaison to partner organizations while maintaining stakeholder relationships across diverse regions, perspectives, and demographic groups.
• Facilitate discussions on public health and faith teachings within faith communities and the broader public.
• Organize educational webinars and contribute articles to IPHN’s blog, newsletter, and publications.
• Assist in planning events and managing logistics.
• Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to gather program ideas, resources, and collaboration opportunities.
• Take part in denominational activities that support IPHN objectives.
• Conduct research and monitor developments in the sector to enhance educational programs.
• Reach out to potential funders and identify funding opportunities.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as required.
• Master of Public Health degree or its equivalent.
• Relevant credentials, such as Registered Dietitian.
• Ordination or professional affiliation in a specific religious tradition is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, NationBuilder, and Asana.
• Experience presenting to faith-based audiences.
• A strong commitment to public health and collaboration with faith communities.
• Dedication to advancing public health, ideally from a faith/spiritual perspective.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and anti-racism.
• Willingness to travel and occasionally work outside normal business hours, including weekends and after-hours events.
• Knowledge of and experience in engaging with a broad network of stakeholders across different geographies, sectors, demographic groups, and perspectives.
• Familiarity with IPHN is advantageous.
• All employees work from their home offices.
• Occasional travel (1–2 times per year) for all-team in-person meetings.
