This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify and cultivate health policy initiatives in collaboration with partner organizations.

• Oversee public health policy and advocacy initiatives, including strategic planning, decision-making for workstreams, and management of personnel.

• Administer workstream budgets and ensure financial accountability.

• Drive fundraising efforts and foster donor relationships for policy advocacy initiatives.

• Act as the main advisory contact for partner organizations, fostering strategic partnerships.

• Develop communication strategies and partnership plans while ensuring partner retention.

• Employ project management tools to define project scope, track timelines, and monitor deliverables.

• Address risks and challenges while reviewing deliverables for both quality and clarity.

• Guide strategic development, workstream planning, and project management.

• Create communication materials, social media content, and press releases.

• Deliver presentations to community and professional groups.

• Organize meetings, plan events, coordinate webinars, and manage logistical aspects.

• Supervise contract staff and interns while overseeing contractor engagements.

• Lead grant writing, proposal management, reporting, and donor engagement.

• Stay informed on sector developments to promote IPHN policy advocacy.

• Manage the IPHN CRM and contact database.

• Oversee and approve the hiring process.

• Administer website updates and enhance digital presence.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree, preferably a Master of Public Health or its equivalent.

• Ordination or affiliation with a specific religious tradition is preferred.

• Extensive experience in community mobilization and organizing.

• Proven knowledge and experience working with a diverse network of stakeholders across various geographies, sectors, and demographic groups.

• Broad understanding of various faith traditions.

• Experience in presenting to faith-based audiences.

• A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racist practices.

• Commitment to public health and collaboration with faith communities.

• Ability to learn and effectively use Microsoft Office, Zoom, NationBuilder, and Asana.

• Willingness to travel and occasionally work outside standard hours, including weekends and after-hours events.

• Experience with IPHN is a plus.
