• Strengthen the strategic direction, portfolio roadmap, and investment priorities within Northwoods’ product ecosystem, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, customer outcomes, and sustainable growth.
• Articulate and share a clear product vision throughout the organization, balancing immediate delivery with long-term platform development.
• Convert customer, market, competitive, and business insights into prioritization, sequencing, and investment choices.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Executive Leadership on product positioning, packaging, pricing, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
• Lead product strategy concerning emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and workflow intelligence.
• Mentor and develop Product Managers and Product Owners, fostering clear ownership, accountability, and growth opportunities within the team.
• Aid in establishing role clarity, performance expectations, and developmental plans for product team members.
• Offer ongoing coaching through working sessions, roadmap assessments, requirement evaluations, and strategic planning.
• Contribute to building a strong product culture rooted in ownership, curiosity, customer empathy, accountability, and continual improvement.
• Establish and enhance Northwoods’ product operating model, incorporating discovery practices, prioritization frameworks, roadmap planning, and execution standards.
• Ensure that product requirements, acceptance criteria, and artifacts are clear, testable, and ready for implementation prior to development commencement.
• Act as a customer-facing product leader with a comprehensive understanding of user workflows, pain points, regulatory landscapes, and market opportunities.
• 8+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or similar leadership positions within software or technology-enabled organizations.
• 3+ years of experience in leading, coaching, or managing Product Managers, Product Owners, or cross-functional product teams.
• Proven track record of ownership for complex products or platforms with long-term roadmaps and cross-functional dependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to create product processes, enhance operational rhythms, and scale product organizations.
• Experience in close partnership with Engineering, QA, and Design to enhance delivery quality and release confidence.
• Hands-on experience with AI, automation, or workflow intelligence in enterprise products is highly preferred.
• Experience working within regulated or mission-critical environments is strongly preferred.
• Relevant degree preferred (computer science, business, design, marketing, or a related field).
• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
