This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Develop and oversee the procurement department from the foundation up.
• Create organization-wide procurement policies, procedures, approval workflows, spend controls, and governance structures.
• Define and monitor procurement KPIs, such as cost savings, cycle time, and compliance rates.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance for contract management in LinkSquares and financial systems in NetSuite.
• Establish a vendor management program and lead sourcing strategies.
• Build and oversee a small team, prioritizing tasks, managing workloads, and ensuring quality standards.
• Mentor teams and provide support for complex negotiations, high-risk vendors, and contract disputes.
• Review and authorize significant RFPs, sourcing recommendations, and contract conditions.
• Promote the adoption of procurement policies across different departments and train department heads and budget owners.
• Track and report on maverick or off-contract spending.
• Assess, recommend, and implement procurement software solutions integrated with LinkSquares and NetSuite.
• Own the procurement technology roadmap, automating requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, and vendor management.
• Manage relationships with procurement software vendors and drive continuous optimization.
• Establish contract management strategies and standards within LinkSquares CLM.
• Supervise sourcing strategies and major RFx events.
• Lead or co-lead high-value vendor negotiations and strategic initiatives.
• Create executive dashboards and reports on procurement expenditures, savings, and compliance.
• Ensure the integrity of procurement data and accurate categorization of spending in NetSuite.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or people-management position.
• Demonstrated success in building procurement functions or programs from the ground up and scaling them effectively.
• Experience in implementing or managing procurement/P2P software platforms.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor and stakeholder management.
• Ability to influence and encourage process adoption across departments without having direct authority.
• Excellent analytical capabilities and familiarity with constructing spend reports and dashboards.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (desired but not mandatory).
• Direct experience with NetSuite (preferred qualification).
• Experience with LinkSquares or similar CLM tools is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel less than 25% of the time.
