📋 Description

• The Director of Operations collaborates with the Market Medical Director and the Vice President of Operations to oversee operational performance, manage client accounts, and provide overall management for OBHG’s hospitalist programs within their designated geographic area.

• This role requires a visible presence at assigned program locations, fostering collaborative and consultative relationships with clients both within and outside the hospital organization and establishing effective partnerships between OBHG and community physicians.

• The Director of Operations will report directly to OBHG’s Vice President of Operations.

• Responsible for building, developing, and managing operational relationships to achieve OBHG and partner hospital goals, as well as those of community physician practices.

• Aids the customer onboarding team in successfully and promptly implementing new OBHG programs.

• Establishes and/or confirms goals and performance objectives related to OBHG services for each program within their assigned geographic area, ensuring OBHG’s performance aligns with these objectives.

• Leads and coordinates support services and management resources to meet performance objectives and expectations, which includes regular touchpoint calls with each assigned hospital program, an Executive Business Review quarterly, and an annual onsite business review presentation in collaboration with clinical leadership and relevant support personnel.

• Conducts scheduled meetings with matrix teams, including Recruiting, Credentialing, Scheduling, HR Business Partner (“HRBP”), and/or Market Medical Director, to ensure all program aspects are functioning smoothly.

• Oversees hospital contracts, including fee structures.

• Participates in onsite OBHG clinician interviews as necessary.

• Assists with OBED setup, policy recommendations, compliance suggestions, and other related tasks.

• Supports clinical/hospital policies alongside the MMD and/or Site Director.

• Maintains relationships with community physicians, including OSA meetings with the MMD and/or Site Director.

• Facilitates responses to any OSA billing inquiries from hospital and community physicians.

• Addresses questions or concerns regarding OBHG invoices from hospital partners.

• Collaborates with and supports the customer onboarding team in the development, implementation, and direction of new programs or projects aimed at achieving strategic initiatives and goals for hospital partners.

• Promotes and ensures the delivery of OBHG’s unique value proposition to the hospital partner C-Suite (CEO, CFO, COO, CMO, CNO), nursing leadership, and other key hospital stakeholders as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or other related fields is strongly preferred.

• 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience (including operations supervisor) in the healthcare/medical services sector.

• Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities.

• Strong leadership and management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation capabilities.

• Requires interpersonal skills for effective interaction with all levels of hospital staff, medical personnel, patients, governmental agencies, and the general public in sensitive, delicate, and/or complex situations.

• Must possess the ability to deliver effective presentations to diverse internal and external audiences.

• Problem-solving skills are essential for prioritizing tasks and making decisions in the best interest of the company and patient care.
