This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the daily IT operations of the company, including the cybersecurity program, enterprise systems, and regulatory compliance posture.
• Act as the main internal authority for IT governance and federal compliance within the organization.
• Lead and maintain readiness for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 and other security maturity initiatives.
• Develop scalable processes and enhance security controls for the IT infrastructure.
• Assess technology investments, vendor partnerships, budgeting, and the cost-effectiveness of IT solutions.
• Engage with executive leadership on matters related to cybersecurity, compliance, technology strategy, and operational risk.
• Supervise the managed service provider (MSP) for help desk support and device management.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in IT, cybersecurity, or compliance roles.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a government contracting or federal consulting environment is preferred.
• Direct experience in leading or supporting CMMC Level 2 readiness and/or certification efforts is strongly preferred.
• Proven expertise with NIST SP 800-171 controls and the implementation of compliance programs in a business setting.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and auditing SSPs, POA&Ms, and security policies in alignment with CMMC or similar frameworks.
• Experience collaborating directly with executive leadership, effectively communicating risk, trade-offs, and compliance posture.
• Ability to engage in external-facing discussions (e.g., with auditors, clients, partners) and represent the organization’s cybersecurity capabilities.
• Experience in managing or overseeing a managed service provider (MSP) relationship.
• Hands-on experience with macOS environments and endpoint management (e.g., Apple Business Manager, MDM platforms) is preferred.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace administration and security configuration is a plus.
• Strong capability to build, document, and scale processes within a growing organization.
