This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Identify, prospect, and secure new clients among Canadian small-cap public companies and businesses funded through crowdfunding.
• Market Investor Relations programs, shareholder engagement services, and associated capital markets solutions.
• Utilize existing relationships and industry connections to create qualified opportunities.
• Develop and sustain relationships with:
• - CEOs
• - CFOs
• - Investor Relations Officers
• - Board members
• - Capital markets professionals
• Conduct client meetings both virtually and face-to-face.
• Travel frequently to engage with prospects and clients throughout Canada.
• Participate in industry conferences, investor events, and capital markets gatherings to generate leads and foster relationships.
• Represent the company within the Canadian investment and small-cap landscape.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline from initial contact to contract execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create proposals and client solutions.
• Keep accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions.
• Residing in Canada.
• Over 5 years of experience in Investor Relations, capital markets, small-cap advisory, corporate access, financial communications, or related sectors.
• Strong comprehension of the Canadian small-cap and venture capital markets.
• Established network of executives from Canadian public companies and investor relations contacts.
• Proven experience in selling services to publicly traded firms or capital markets participants.
• Demonstrated capability to generate leads through networking, conferences, and relationship-driven sales.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Self-motivated individual able to work autonomously and manage a national territory.
• Openness to extensive travel within Canada.
• Existing portfolio of Canadian small-cap and investor relations contacts.
• Experience with TSX, TSX Venture, CSE, or emerging growth companies.
• Background in Investor Relations consulting, financial PR, corporate communications, or capital markets advisory.
• Strong connections with investment conferences, industry associations, and market participants.
• Experience with crowdfunding-funded or retail-investor-oriented companies.
