• Directs the design, development, and/or enhancement of house officer programs, evaluates their effectiveness, and promotes continuous improvement.
• Manages the implementation of house officer programs, including residencies and internships, ensuring they are effectively utilized to meet talent pipeline requirements.
• Works collaboratively with stakeholders to identify house officer training and development needs, as well as to assess the effectiveness of existing programs.
• Creates the strategic plan and establishes the direction for residency programs and internships (both rotating and specialty).
• Operates as a member of a high-performing clinical development team to achieve program objectives.
• Tracks KPIs to ensure robust ROI and alignment with practice strategies.
• Manages relationships with external industry partners, including universities.
• Acts as an advocate for clinical engagement and fosters a culture of learning throughout the practice.
• Provides program training content both in-person and virtually, and is available for consultation as required.
• Develops and enforces key performance metrics for the functional area and ensures consistent reporting of results to stakeholders.
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) required.
• One-year rotating internship and board certification as a specialist is mandatory.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a leadership position within the veterinary sector is required.
• Previous experience focusing on clinical talent development is essential.
• Experience in an academic setting is preferred.
