This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct U.S. tax compliance by overseeing external accounting firms for federal and state tax provisions, filings, payments, and responses to notices while collaborating with Accounting and FP&A teams.

• Ensure precise tax reporting and data tracking across offshore locations to fulfill U.S. tax compliance obligations, acting as the tax subject matter expert for ERP systems, internal processes, and M&A due diligence/integration.

• Supervise compliance with non-income taxes, such as sales & use, franchise, and revenue taxes, working with external advisors to guarantee timely filings and adherence to regulations.

• Spearhead the implementation, optimization, and continuous management of Vertex sales tax software, including maintenance of tax rates, expansion of jurisdictions, and monitoring changes in service taxability.

• Guarantee accurate sales tax calculation, collection, reporting, reconciliations, and timely filings across various jurisdictions while handling communications with tax authorities and addressing tax inquiries.

• Collaborate with Billing and Accounting teams to uphold compliance as products and services evolve through growth and acquisitions, while fostering continuous advancements in tax automation and data precision.

• Oversee tax-related acquisition and integration efforts by analyzing third-party diligence findings, evaluating risk mitigation strategies with external tax advisors, coordinating nexus studies, and managing the transition of tax filings and compliance needs.

• Administer entity tax management, including supervision of 1060 allocations and seller communications, completion of required IRS forms (8832, 8822-B, 966), and coordination with Legal on registered agent transitions and entity compliance issues.

• Evaluate cash flow and liquidity by analyzing cash forecasts, monitoring working capital, and identifying opportunities to enhance cash conversion through DSO and DPO optimization.

• Manage banking, lender, and debt relationships, which include corporate credit programs, debt servicing decisions, covenant compliance reporting, and proactive monitoring of interest rate trends.

• Assist in foreign exchange (FX) risk management by coordinating hedging activities with external advisors, observing currency markets, and providing recommendations aligned with CFO and investor direction.

• Supervise treasury operations by managing cash flow and working capital, banking and lender relationships, debt compliance and servicing, interest rate exposure, and foreign exchange hedging strategies to optimize liquidity and mitigate financial risk.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

• 8-10 years of experience in corporate tax and/or treasury

• Prior experience with private/capital equity organizations is preferred

• Previous experience in a multi-national/global business is preferred

• Strong academic and practical knowledge of GAAP

• Proficient in tax tools and ERP systems (Vertex, Workday, Office Connect)

• Proficient in MS Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are required

• M&A tax experience

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables

• Effective time management, ability to set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities with a solutions-oriented approach

• Highly adaptable and capable of embracing change with a positive mindset

• Advanced analytical skills with the capability to interpret complex data
