Director of Enterprise Architecture – AI Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the strategy, design, and development of AI-driven products and capabilities.

• Enhance AI offerings through systematic iteration, performance enhancement, and lifecycle management.

• Establish governance for model development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.

• Define the enterprise architecture strategy, reference architectures, standards, and patterns.

• Ensure interoperability, scalability, security, and a consistent product experience.

• Translate mission objectives and customer challenges into architectural principles and product functionalities.

• Align customer opportunities with product capabilities and architectural investment requirements.

• Lead platform modernization efforts and prioritize strategic technological investments.

• Collaborate with growth, capture, and product teams to identify future customer solution patterns.

• Integrate Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), digital thread, and digital twins into product architectures.

• Define interactions among engineering models, authoritative data environments, product functionalities, and AI features.

• Facilitate architecture reviews, decision boards, and governance processes.

• Connect Product Architecture and Solutions Architecture through reusable patterns and architectural guidelines.

• Provide architectural leadership during customer interactions, demonstrations, and proposals.

• Develop frameworks and systems to nurture architects and engineers, reinforcing architectural discipline.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).

• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture, including more than 3 years leading AI/ML product or platform initiatives.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering AI-enabled products and evolving technical capabilities over time.

• Proficiency in cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.

• Capability to lead across product, engineering, growth, and customer-facing teams.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Preferred: Experience with MBSE, digital thread, digital twin, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or engineering lifecycle transformation.

• Preferred: Enterprise architecture certification such as TOGAF, DoDAF, or SAFe Architect.

• Preferred: Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments.

• Preferred: Familiarity with contemporary AI/ML frameworks, pipelines, and deployment methodologies.
