This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Overall technical oversight
• Lead and enhance the engineering team across the EMEA region
• Responsible for the planning, design, and optimization of solar PV and BESS projects (utility-scale including agri-PV and co-location)
• Preparation and endorsement of technical concepts, layouts, yield forecasts, and technical due diligence documentation
• Ensure technical excellence, economic feasibility, and adherence to standards, norms, and regulatory requirements in the respective countries
• Assessment of new components & models (modules, inverters, trackers, BESS systems)
• Manage interfaces & foster collaboration
• Work closely with project development teams in Germany, Italy, and Poland
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Legal, Procurement, Construction Management, and Sales
• Assist in strategic portfolio development
• Represent the company at industry conferences, with authorities, and partners
• Lead, mentor, and nurture the engineering team
• Responsible for resource planning, budget management, and capacity oversight
• Cultivate a culture oriented towards innovation, collaboration, and quality
• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in solar PV, ideally with additional experience in agri-PV and BESS, along with international exposure
• Strong understanding of relevant standards, grid connection requirements, permitting processes, and technical regulations
• Proficient use of engineering tools (e.g., PVsyst, PVCase, AutoCAD, GIS, etc.)
• Several years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for international collaboration
• Strategic and analytical mindset combined with high self-motivation, responsibility, and decisiveness
• Solution-oriented, organized, and proactive working style
• Proficient in German and English (C1+). Additional languages such as Italian or Polish are advantageous.
