This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical roadmap for Data Products, focusing on canonical data modeling and scalability of data ingestion.

• Oversee the management and enhancement of the clinical data ingestion pipeline.

• Supervise the expansion of customer data onboarding processes while continuously improving data hygiene, canonical storage standards, and the observability and monitoring of data pipelines.

• Facilitate shared visibility across the organization and support the creation of a comprehensive enterprise reporting framework.

• Propel the adoption of an AI-powered Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), utilizing AI tools to expedite coding, testing, and deployment processes while upholding rigorous code quality and security standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on constructing high-scale data platforms, distributed systems, and interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, CCDA).

• A proven history of managing and scaling engineering teams that tackle data-intensive workloads and intricate clinical data pipelines.

• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams of engineers to deliver complex software solutions in regulated environments.

• Experience in implementing and scaling AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., AI code assistants, automated testing, or AI-driven SDLC) to boost engineering efficiency.

• Proven experience in building and managing engineering systems within highly regulated healthcare settings, with a robust operational grasp of HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance standards.

• A strong passion for the healthcare industry, committed to leveraging technical abilities to foster significant improvements in patient outcomes.

• A thorough understanding of the complexities and lack of standardization in clinical datasets, with a proactive approach to enhancing data integrity.

• Driven by complex technical challenges and dedicated to designing pragmatic, high-quality engineering solutions through continuous intellectual exploration.

• Flourishes in dynamic, high-growth settings, demonstrating the ability to manage ambiguity and align technical priorities with broader strategic goals.

• An action-oriented leader who takes complete ownership of system sustainability, willing to address operational challenges to ensure the team meets its delivery objectives.

• A proven track record of directly hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering managers, Tech Leads (TLs), and Principal Engineers (PELs).

• Demonstrated capability to foster a high-performance engineering culture centered on velocity, quality, and psychological safety.

• Experience in leading organizational transformations, including structural reorganizations and process enhancements.

• Strong expertise in strategic resource allocation, capacity planning, and managing technical debt in a fast-paced product environment.

• Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, with the skill to translate complex technical constraints into clear, actionable business strategies (e.g., impact on HEDIS/RADV outcomes) for non-technical leadership.
