This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.
β’ Collaborate with organizational leaders to create and implement a data strategy aligned with ActBlue's short-term and long-term objectives, supporting growth through acquisitions and partnerships.
β’ Cultivate a data-centric culture by enhancing our capability to make data-informed decisions and developing top-tier data products that adhere to rigorous performance and reliability standards.
β’ Promote and support AI/ML-driven products and features across the ActBlue Platform by constructing scalable machine learning infrastructure for production environments and identifying new opportunities to leverage data science and analytics in pursuit of our mission.
β’ Manage our Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Platform teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.
β’ Direct the advancement of our data systems, tools, and architecture to fulfill the organization's requirements, including data consolidation, governance frameworks, and unified data models across various entities.
β’ Ensure effective communication and a stakeholder-focused approach between our data teams and internal customers, emphasizing responsiveness and collaboration during critical moments.
β’ A minimum of 8 years or equivalent experience in effectively managing and leading Data teams.
β’ At least 2 years of experience leading Data organizations with 20 or more members.
β’ Proficiency in leveraging data science for strategic and operational decision-making.
β’ In-depth knowledge of statistics and quantitative analysis.
β’ Expertise in data security and compliance.
β’ Strong familiarity with Data Engineering, Data platforms, and tools for high-performance big data infrastructure.
β’ Experience in building production-grade ML/AI systems, including feature engineering pipelines, model deployment, and performance monitoring.
β’ Proven track record of driving technical excellence and encouraging engineering teams to achieve higher performance.
β’ Effective collaborator across functions, capable of understanding needs, managing expectations, and overseeing joint projects in dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environments.
β’ Exceptional stakeholder orientation with a strong commitment to service, especially during critical deadlines and complex organizational scenarios.
β’ Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments and foster alignment across various organizational structures.
β’ Experience in leading data integration initiatives through mergers and acquisitions, which includes building centralized data lakes, harmonizing data models across differing systems, and establishing unified governance frameworks.
