Director of Data & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Establish the vision and strategy for Data Analytics and Data Science.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering to upgrade our data infrastructure.

• Take ownership of the data platform, encompassing pipelines, warehousing, modeling, governance, observability, and reliability.

• Serve as the AI thought leader, discovering innovative ways to utilize AI for business enhancement.

• Create predictive and machine learning models that drive personalization, fraud detection, forecasting, and user behavior analysis.

• Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to influence strategy and decision-making.

• Develop dashboards and analytical tools to facilitate self-service and automate insights.

• Establish a top-tier experimentation program that includes statistical rigor, tools, design, and rollout frameworks.

• Advocate for data-driven decision-making and enhance the data IQ across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering, including a minimum of 3 years leading multidisciplinary data teams.

• Demonstrated experience in owning and scaling a modern data stack (Snowflake/BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Databricks, Fivetran, etc.).

• Strong technical skills in SQL and Python.

• Proficient in applying AI across data domains and eager to expand knowledge further.

• Experienced in constructing and maintaining production-level data pipelines and machine learning models.

• Familiar with A/B testing frameworks, causal inference, and experimentation platforms.

• Proven ability to distill complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights.

• Exceptional communication, prioritization, and stakeholder-management abilities.
