This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• SafelyYou is seeking a Director of Content to lead our comprehensive content strategy and execution from start to finish.
• You will manage a diverse content program, which includes case studies, white papers, research reports, press releases, blog entries, one-pagers, website copy, email marketing, and social media, while enhancing SafelyYou's visibility in traditional search, AI-generated responses, and new discovery channels.
• You will establish the editorial direction, create and refine content personally, and oversee a network of freelancers and agencies to amplify production.
• Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will collaborate closely with various teams across the organization to highlight the stories, data, and evidence that make SafelyYou's content engaging and credible.
• Develop and supervise a comprehensive array of content assets: case studies, white papers, research reports, press releases, blog articles, one-pagers, website content, email campaigns, social media updates, and sales enablement materials.
• Personally write, edit, and critique content.
• Brief, oversee, and ensure quality control of freelancers and agencies, guaranteeing that all external work aligns with SafelyYou's brand voice, accuracy standards, and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from clinical, sales, customer success, and product teams to gather stories, insights, and evidence that ground content in tangible results.
• Regularly review existing content and suggest enhancements based on performance, SEO opportunities, audience relevance, and strategic alignment.
• Manage SafelyYou's organic search strategy comprehensively — including keyword research, content gap analysis, on-page optimization, and coordination with web and technical teams for site-side SEO.
• Monitor and report on organic search performance, AI citation presence, and content-driven pipeline contributions, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Evaluate content effectiveness across lead generation, brand recognition, customer engagement, and other key objectives. Utilize performance data to continuously advise on what is effective, what requires investment, and where to streamline efforts.
• A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, combined with over 8 years of experience in content marketing, content strategy, or a similar role, including at least 2 years in a director or senior leadership position.
• Proven experience in owning and executing a comprehensive content program, from strategy to production.
• Extensive SEO knowledge, including proficiency in keyword research tools, fundamental technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content architecture tailored for search engines.
• Familiarity with GEO and AEO practices, such as structured data/schema markup, entity optimization, AI citation trends, and featured snippet strategies.
• Experience in briefing, managing, and ensuring quality control over freelancers, agencies, and other external contributors.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills — capable of producing polished, brand-consistent copy independently and ensuring external work reflects SafelyYou’s voice.
• Analytical and data-driven mindset, with practical experience in Google Analytics, Search Console, or similar tools.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication abilities; adept at collaborating across multiple stakeholders and workstreams concurrently.
• A self-starter who excels in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
• Experience in healthcare, healthtech, or senior care is highly advantageous.
