This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer in Hanger’s Department of Clinical and Scientific Affairs to define and implement the organization's clinical research strategy.
• Supervise all clinical studies and the collection of research data at Hanger Clinic.
• Lead the research team, managing the operational, analytical, and logistical elements of the clinical research portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with established budgets and timelines.
• Guarantee that all research activities adhere to applicable regulations and align with the broader business strategy of the organization.
• Set strategic direction and oversee large clinical trials and data collection initiatives.
• Manage clinical research operations, including the design and initiation of clinical trials to enhance tactical and clinical value through global site selection and data portability.
• Develop and assist in the submission of federal grants to sustain ongoing research efforts.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Clinical Practice Guidelines.
• Author or collaborate with others to create publications based on the outcomes of clinical trials.
• Regularly provide updates and status reports to senior management.
• Oversee the operational, analytical, fiscal, and logistical tasks associated with clinical research activities in line with our business strategy.
• Foster and maintain professional relationships with academic and community-based physicians, clinicians, and payers to ensure strategic alignment and output.
• Manage staff and external partners/service providers.
• Represent the company at major annual conferences, involving 20% travel.
• A minimum of a PhD degree, preferably with coursework in areas such as mathematics, statistics, bioinformatics, biomechanics, kinesiology, public health, and/or clinical research administration.
• A strong publication record in relevant clinical or scientific journals, generally reflecting 20+ peer-reviewed publications.
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in the Orthotics and Prosthetics profession.
• Preferred 10+ years of experience in a research environment.
• Extensive knowledge of clinical Orthotics and Prosthetics.
• Advanced understanding of research methodology.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the orthotic and prosthetic profession.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite programs, including presentation software, pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
