This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary authority and point of accountability for the acquisition and upkeep of clinic, state, and organizational licenses, certifications, and registrations.
• Keep comprehensive inventories of licensure requirements, application statuses, renewal schedules, and operational duties on a state-by-state basis.
• Oversee external portals and internal systems that monitor licensure.
• Identify and eliminate barriers to licensure entry, including certificate of need stipulations, moratoriums, and exemptions.
• Supervise the training and implementation of licensing standards across the organization.
• Manage audits and surveys related to facility licensure and lead the planning for corrective actions.
• Track and analyze state and federal regulations pertaining to collaborating agreements that affect NP/PA prescribing authority, physician oversight, and Medication for Addiction Treatment.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of collaborating agreements, including drafting standards, renewals, credentialing verification, and readiness for audits.
• Collaborate with Credentialing and Enrollment, Clinical, and Legal leadership regarding the structures of collaborating agreements.
• Take full ownership of incident management processes, including intake, triage, response, investigation, root cause analysis, and planning for corrective actions.
• Manage mandatory reporting responsibilities to licensing boards, accrediting bodies, and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee the lifecycle of organizational policies and procedures, including drafting, version control, reviews, and approvals.
• Implement policy updates and training in coordination with functional and market leaders.
• Maintain an audit-ready library of policies.
• Ensure readiness for CARF accreditation, manage survey preparations, oversee on-site survey coordination, and ensure continuous compliance.
• Lead the response to CARF findings and develop plans for correction.
• Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.
• Act as the primary liaison for CARF surveyors and regulatory auditors.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Director of CQCM on the Clinical Compliance strategy and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Evaluate and report on resource barriers and support requirements.
• Provide data-driven insights regarding organizational performance.
• Utilize AI tools to create and maintain compliance trackers, checklists, and workflows.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
• Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory operations, or licensure.
• Proven experience managing multi-state licensure or regulatory compliance programs.
• Direct involvement with CARF accreditation processes, including surveys, standards, and ongoing compliance.
• Experience with collaborating/collaborative practice agreements, physician-NP/PA oversight frameworks, or credentialing in a multi-state clinical setting.
• Expertise in navigating multi-state licensure environments across 10 or more states.
• Experience in managing incidents, grievance responses, or risk/quality programs within a healthcare context.
• A clinical background or licensure (e.g., RN, LCSW, LPC, or similar) is highly preferred.
• Experience in the SUD/behavioral health sector is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of leading or displaying readiness to lead and expand a team.
• Familiarity with policy and procedure management tools.
• Proficient with Monday.com or similar project management platforms.
• Technical proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and G-Suite.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated expertise with Excel, AI tools, and G-Suite.
• Capability to work from a home office or clinic office location.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Comfort in navigating ambiguous situations.
