Director of Business Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Manage the complete lifecycle of contracts involving customers, partners, and vendors, from negotiation to renewal.

• Ensure that contractual commitments are fulfilled while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance.

• Work collaboratively with legal, finance, and delivery teams to enhance contract strategy and mitigate risks.

• Review and assess monthly corporate financial statements, including P&L, budget variances, forecasts, and operational metrics.

• Guarantee timely collection and accurate recognition of revenue each month.

• Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure precise reporting and to uncover opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.

• Develop and sustain robust relationships with key vendors and strategic partners.

• Assess partner performance, negotiate terms, and seek opportunities for enhanced value, efficiency, or collaboration.

• Implement and optimize business processes to boost efficiency across delivery, sales, and back-office operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent is preferred.

• Over 7 years of experience in business operations or similar leadership positions, including a minimum of 3 years in a professional services setting.

• Proven expertise in contract management, financial reporting, and vendor/partner oversight.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Capacity to excel in a remote-first work environment and collaborate effectively across distributed teams.

• Experience in technology, cybersecurity, consulting, or government-focused professional services is desirable.

• Knowledge of compliance-heavy environments (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC2, ISO frameworks) is preferred.

• Residency in Virginia, Washington D.C., or Maryland is preferred.
