This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create and execute a thorough AI security and governance strategy that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory demands.
• Collaborate with leaders in AI, IT, and Risk to integrate security-by-design throughout the AI lifecycle — from data acquisition to model deployment.
• Develop AI threat modeling and risk management frameworks that address confidentiality, integrity, availability, and fairness of AI systems.
• Supervise the implementation of technical measures to protect AI/ML systems against adversarial attacks, data poisoning, model inversion, and prompt injection.
• Establish standards for secure model development, training, and deployment across both cloud and edge environments.
• Execute continuous monitoring for model drift, bias, and unusual outputs.
• Lead the formulation of AI security policies, model documentation, and audit procedures.
• Ensure adherence to emerging AI regulations and frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, U.S. AI Executive Orders).
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and data privacy teams to meet ethical AI, explainability, and accountability requirements.
• Work closely with data science, engineering, and DevSecOps teams to integrate secure development pipelines (MLOps/LLMOps).
• Partner with enterprise architecture and identity teams to enable a trusted AI infrastructure and secure data access.
• Represent the AI security strategy during executive briefings, board updates, and regulatory interactions.
• Engage in the AI Governance Committee.
• Stay informed about the evolving AI and cybersecurity threat landscape, including deepfakes, generative AI misuse, and model exfiltration.
• Lead red teaming and penetration testing of AI systems to assess resilience.
• Advocate for responsible AI initiatives, nurturing a culture of “secure and trusted AI” throughout the organization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, including 3–5 years in leadership roles focusing on AI/ML or emerging technology security programs.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing secure AI architectures and governance frameworks.
• Profound understanding of AI/ML systems, LLMs, data pipelines, and cloud-based AI services.
• Familiarity with adversarial machine learning, data privacy, model security, and AI red teaming.
• Knowledge of AI risk management standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 27090x/42001).
• Strong background in cyber defense, threat intelligence, and secure software development (DevSecOps/MLOps).
