This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Spearhead the organization's AI strategy in alignment with business objectives and long-term innovation goals.
• Identify areas where AI and machine learning can enhance operations, decision-making, customer experiences, and overall organizational performance.
• Create and uphold a prioritized roadmap for AI initiatives throughout the organization.
• Act as the organization’s expert on artificial intelligence and related emerging technologies.
• Provide guidance to executive leadership on AI capabilities, opportunities, risks, and investment priorities.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine-learning solutions.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of AI initiatives, including opportunity assessment, solution design, model development, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, and seamlessly integrated with existing data and technology systems.
• Direct the selection and implementation of AI tools, platforms, and technologies.
• Assess adoption and business impact stemming from the implementation of AI solutions.
• Build, lead, and mentor a team of AI specialists.
• Establish best practices for AI development, model management, and data workflows.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the AI team.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure the organization possesses the data infrastructure needed to support AI initiatives.
• Advocate for strong data governance, data quality, and data management practices.
• Promote the adoption of AI capabilities across the organization and evaluate ongoing business impact.
• Develop policies and best practices for responsible and ethical use of AI.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
• A Master’s degree or advanced technical training is preferred.
• Over 8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or advanced analytics.
• At least 4 years of leadership or management experience supervising technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying AI or machine-learning solutions in a production environment.
• Experience working with large datasets and contemporary data infrastructure.
• Strong familiarity with machine-learning frameworks, data science and analytics tools (Python, R, SQL), generative AI and large language models, data engineering and data pipeline development, cloud platforms (MS Azure), model lifecycle management and MLOps, data architecture and data governance, and AI solution integration with enterprise systems.
