This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the product vision and long-term strategy, converting it into annual and quarterly objectives along with clear 'go/no-go' decision criteria.
• Establish and uphold the fundamental 'hypotheses' that underpin GiveDirectly’s investment in this product (impact/value, feasibility/delivery, and growth/fundability), including identifying what evidence could alter our level of confidence.
• Create a precise roadmap that delineates (a) what needs to be proven, (b) what must be constructed, and (c) what should be expanded—then rigorously prioritize to align with the annual objectives.
• Guide program design decisions (e.g., transfer size, timing/cadence, etc.), based on evidence and operational realities.
• Ensure that the program upholds a high standard for recipient dignity, safeguarding, consent, and clarity—especially considering the sensitivity surrounding pregnancy and newborn outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with program teams to pinpoint where actual outcomes differ from our plans, identify root causes, and swiftly implement thoughtful adaptations.
• Identify, assess, and manage essential partners that are vital to targeting and outcomes (e.g., community health NGOs, health facilities, government health systems, digital maternal health platforms).
• Define the operational model: delineate what GiveDirectly must execute versus what partners can do more effectively (and cost-efficiently), and clarify responsibilities, incentives, data flows, and accountability mechanisms.
• Create playbooks for recipient targeting/verification, enrollment of pregnant women, payment scheduling, troubleshooting, and issue resolution—then standardize these across countries where feasible.
• Formulate a concrete learning agenda and evidence narrative, ensuring the collection of 'decision-grade' evidence and presenting it in a compelling narrative for stakeholders.
• Strong alignment with GD values, enthusiasm for our mission, and dedication to recipient dignity and empowerment.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in a similar role or function (product, programs, business development, partnerships).
• Demonstrated leadership capability and management experience in cultivating high-performing teams.
• Experience collaborating with a distributed team in a multicultural setting.
• Interest in contributing to a growing organization, with an understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with a highly adaptive environment.
• Excellent and concise communication skills: proficient in speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating with various stakeholders.
• Analytical problem solver: approaches challenges with an analytical and iterative mindset, possessing a robust framework for prioritization.
• A positive and supportive team with opportunities for career advancement.
• A demonstrated commitment to facilitating the development and growth of all staff.
• A competitive salary, including performance bonuses.
• A comprehensive health benefits plan (specific details will vary by country).
• Flexible paid time off.
• Allowances for desk setup and professional learning and development.
