Director, Learning Experience Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Advocate for the educational vision of science throughout our science offerings.

• Oversee a team of Learning Experience Designers to transform intricate research into cutting-edge digital experiences.

• Spearhead the creation of captivating instructional materials that embody principles of learning science.

• Develop strong frameworks for content production and collect feedback to enhance resources.

• Mentor and assist the team in producing content for gamified and teacher-led learning opportunities.

• Collaborate with internal teams to design based on authentic input from educators and students.

• Oversee capacity planning, project budgets, and streamline workflows for content development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in learning experience design or educational content creation.

• More than 3 years of experience in leading or managing teams within a dynamic, fast-paced product development setting.

• At least 3 years of K-12 classroom teaching experience (or equivalent practical experience).

• Proven ability to utilize data, analytics, and co-design methodologies to inform product iterations and design choices.

• A successful history of conceptualizing and launching engaging, interactive digital learning experiences.

• Extensive understanding of national and state academic standards.

• Experience in managing external vendors or overseeing large-scale content production pipelines.

• Leadership experience in an EdTech organization or a contemporary educational publishing company.

• Expertise in designing specifically for digital platforms.
