This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Define and implement Nexthink’s worldwide procurement strategy, operational model, and multi-year roadmap.
• Create strategic category management for Software/SaaS, Cloud, Technology, Professional Services, Marketing, HR, Workplace, and other indirect expenditures.
• Establish category strategies, sourcing priorities, and a global pipeline that align with business goals.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, demand management, supplier consolidation, and innovation.
• Lead or oversee significant global sourcing initiatives and strategic supplier negotiations.
• Drive measurable savings, cost avoidance, and enhanced commercial value.
• Mentor, coach, and develop a high-achieving team of Category Managers.
• Create category ownership, objectives, and accountability within the team.
• Develop unified category management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Build succession plans, talent development, and future leadership capabilities.
• Advise senior and executive stakeholders at Nexthink on commercial issues.
• Cultivate strategic supplier relationships, performance frameworks, and executive business reviews.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, and other departments on commercial agreements and third-party risks.
• Enhance supplier performance, innovation, resilience, and sustainability.
• Formulate global procurement policies, governance, and processes.
• Improve the Procure-to-Pay framework and procurement capabilities within NetSuite and related systems.
• Increase spend visibility, purchasing compliance, supplier onboarding, contract management, and renewal governance.
• Identify automation and procurement technology opportunities.
• Set procurement KPIs and executive reporting.
• Conduct regular business reviews with Finance leadership and key executives.
• Utilize data and market intelligence to uncover emerging commercial risks and opportunities.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management, ideally within SaaS, software, or technology.
• Extensive experience leading global indirect procurement categories and handling complex commercial negotiations.
• Proven track record in leading and developing Category Managers while building high-performing procurement teams.
• Demonstrated ability to enhance procurement capabilities, operational models, and category management maturity.
• Strong executive presence with experience in influencing C-suite and senior business leaders.
• In-depth expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, and commercial negotiation.
• Strong analytical and financial skills with a history of delivering measurable business value.
• Experience with ERP and procurement systems; familiarity with NetSuite is preferred.
• Experience working within international and multicultural organizations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional procurement qualifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CPM, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
