This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Continue to enhance and expand the SH swine and LeeO products for swine enterprises worldwide, beginning with the US, Spain, and Chile.
• Establish a comprehensive product vision and strategy, emphasizing value, business outcomes, and user experience.
• Generate high-level market assessments, compelling value propositions, and business cases for innovative product concepts and functionalities.
• Identify unmet customer requirements and market opportunities to guide new product development.
• Cultivate and implement essential partnerships that enhance the SH Swine offerings.
• Promote ongoing product exploration to comprehend user requirements and convert insights into solutions and a prioritized product backlog.
• Formulate and execute customer insight strategies through methods such as surveys, farm visits, and customer advisory boards to gather feedback and validate direction.
• Make informed product decisions that are rooted in customer needs and aligned with the product strategy.
• Transform customer needs into a prioritized backlog and an outcomes-focused roadmap.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies (including animal health monitoring), and the competitive landscape to guide strategy and continuous enhancement.
• Directly connect delivery teams with customers to promote open communication and alignment.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to brainstorm new solutions, validate value propositions, and ensure alignment with customer needs.
• Work cross-functionally with the product team (Tech Lead, marketing, sales, and customer success) to guarantee comprehensive delivery and adoption.
• Partner closely with the Technology Lead, Product Designer, and engineers to discover, validate, and provide effective solutions.
• Lead product adoption, retention, and growth by leveraging marketing, customer success, and market activation capabilities, while engaging commercial teams across regions and markets on the product value proposition.
• Oversee release planning, manufacturing, go-to-market execution, and ongoing product support in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• In conjunction with the Tech Lead, engage supply chain and manufacturing teams to determine the most efficient methods for bringing products to market.
• Involve commercial teams across regions and markets to enhance understanding and adoption of the product’s value proposition.
• Establish frameworks for customer success and support models to ensure optimal product adoption and satisfaction.
• Develop and adhere to annual and five-year financial plans, taking responsibility for overall financial performance.
• Create, maintain, and consistently prioritize the product backlog to optimize value delivery and long-term sustainability.
• Define and regularly calibrate product metrics to monitor success and progress against objectives.
• Conduct business reviews and keep track of industry trends and competitive dynamics to inform product strategy.
• Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the product team.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Agriculture, Animal or Life Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in technology, livestock management, or animal health sectors.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the techniques and methodologies of contemporary product discovery and delivery.
• Proven experience working on technology-driven products in roles such as Product Manager, Product Designer, Engineer, or similar.
• Capability to learn and collaborate across multiple functional areas (e.g., engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing).
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems with numerous constraints, employing sound judgment to evaluate risks and construct well-structured, data-informed narratives.
• Proven capacity to engage with engineers, designers, stakeholders, and senior leaders in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a history of leading through influence rather than authority.
• A mindset of ownership, accountability, and customer focus; comfortable committing to results and driving outcomes through others when necessary.
• Passion for fostering team innovation and harnessing the collective ideas and expertise of cross-functional colleagues.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25 to 35% of the time.
